This is a significant factor, per discussions with past bartenders, as to why The Muse has burned through every bartender they’ve hired and why, for several months prior to December, 2018, the only regular bar servers were the owners. Such as the owner publicly insulting and firing bartenders and humiliating them with profane criticism all of this occurring behind the bar, directly in front of and within earshot of customers. The outbursts I experienced in December at The Muse were not a surprise but were the last straw as they were the culmination of other negative incidents I had witnessed. Delta understood that I have choices as to where I spend my money and they actively fought to retain my patronage. Contrast this with Delta’s Customer Service department, who solidified my patronage by the positive and immediate remedial measures they took last week in response to my reporting a very negative experience during an international flight transfer in France. And by not reaching out to me over the past 4 months, the message of his lack of appreciation for my prior patronage, support and friendship is very clear and motivating this decision. Unfortunately, their peace accord lasted less than a minute, prompting my decision to not spend my intended birthday celebration in such a hostile and emotionally charged atmosphere. I waited until now to formally sever my relationship with The Muse because I had hoped the owner would reach out to me as he is very aware of the “why” and “what” for my walking out of the bar after the second outburst, most notably because he immediately apologized for the first outburst. Trip Advisor’s email identified that my glowing review of The Muse dated had over 6,500 readers prior to my deleting it. Prior to that point, I had been one of the longest “regulars” beginning shortly before the formal opening in late 2015. I have pulled my support on this website and my patronage of The Muse in response to two consecutive, extremely unprofessional, loud and explosive emotional outbursts between the owners during a visit in December, 2018.
