Whether you’re a Wes Borland / Limp Bizkit / Black Light Burns fan, or a collector, this rare WHITE CV820WB guitar is awesome, and sure to go up in value!Īny questions, feel free to reach out any time. I’d love to keep both, but I have decided to keep the less rare black one to use for gigs. So, why am I selling? I looked for years for a black “player grade” CV820WB, and as luck would have it, one ended up coming up for sale a couple months after I purchased the white one. I met the owner while in LA last year and hand carried it back home after falling in love with it in person. If you have been watching the market on these for a while, this is the one that still comes up on Reverb listed for $4,250. On the case, the accessory compartment flap is a bit loose, but it is not ripped, and has not come completely detached. (There is a picture of this mark in the listing.) The pickup rings show some minor pick marks, but they don’t show up in pictures either. I absolutely love the way this guitar looks, sounds and plays.Īs far as the condition, the only notable mark is by the rear strap button, close to where it would sit on a guitar stand. The alnico split humbuckers have some nice snap, but also output that feels like a hot PAF type pickup with a bit less mids. The Yamaha 13 and ¾ radius feels great, the frets are near jumbo, but not massive, and play smooth as butter. Having played both, this is absolutely on par with that limited PRS. I currently have the guitar strung 10-52 “heavy bottom” with the heavy gauge pads.Īs far as my personal impressions of the guitar, I looked for years for a professional quality semi-hollow body guitar with a locking trem, and there are really only a couple options: the PRS Neal Schon…and this. This auction also includes the following accessories: original Yamaha tremolo bar, original signed control plate, FingerClamp trem bar holder, and both sets of locking nuts plus additional hardware for the FingerClamp trem system. No Yamaha case was ever made for this MIJ guitar, however this comes with a custom “YAM-C-V” Hiscox case, which was the only hardshell ever made for this model. In addition, the included Wes Borland hand-signed control plate cover was removed by the previous owner and replaced with a new model-correct Yamaha cover to preserve the signature on the original plate. This clean 13-year-old guitar even still has the plastic on the tremolo cover plate. Everything on this guitar is original/stock and unmodified, and in it’s current condition, this guitar could be sold as new. The previous owner kept this guitar in IMMACULATE condition over the years before selling it to me last summer. Their rep told me that it was initially shipped to a dealer in the UK, but it ended back in the USA shortly thereafter. This guitar is serial number #xxx001E, and I have confirmed with Yamaha that this was the first white guitar available for sale after the prototypes made for Wes. ![]() You are looking at the ONLY white Yamaha CV820WB Wes Borland Signature model available for sale in the world, in near mint condition, unmodified, with a custom Hiscox case.
